Karaoke Boogie

hi all, i have been signed off work by doctors now for 4 weeks with bad back. The injury was done last august whilst at work doing a delivery. i went back to work 9 weeks later and 4 weeks ago my back went again meaning i was unable to go to work. My boss was not happy but the doctors signed me off so that was that and i am not fit to work, i am asistant manager for retail store. Friday night i went out to a pub with my friend sang 1 song on karaoke and danced maybe twice i sat most of the time due to my back but needed to get out for a while. The thing is my bosses wife walked into the pub and obviously saw me - now we have been out with her before on a girly night out as we are all a little friendly - thing is she is bound to of told my boss. I am due back to doctors tomorrow however i still have back pain, i am prob going to be signed off again. But when signed off sick do i have to stay in or is it a case that i am signed off work not my life!!! If i was jumpng around like a mad person i could understand any saracastic comments i may get but as you read above this was not the case. I hae an engagement party to attend tomorrow but am worried in case i get seen again. Anyone know what the situation is please, many thanks

Have you ever got a group of old friends and brought them together with a group of new friends? No one knows each other and things can get a bit awkward =/ How do you guys ease that situation? I dont know if my situation is typical but every time i try this, theres always a long silences...... This time the venue is a karaoke bar, i figured..there will be drinks..nothing eases a situation like alcohol lol... but im still a bit worried about all my shy asian friends...

Here's the equipment I have been handed to use. 1. 1 karaoke amplifier, 550W + 550W - It has connections for Speaker A (L & R) and Speaker B (L & R), all 8 ohms. 2. 1 PA amplifier, 300W 4-16 ohms - speaker connections for L & R. 3. 1 karaoke mixer - 6 mics, 2 input, 2 output 4. 2 speakers - 6 ohms, 500W 5. 2 speakers - 6 ohms, 150W 6. 2 speakers - 4 ohms, 800W 7. 1 speaker - 4 ohms, 350W 8. 1 speaker - 4 ohms, 400W 9. 2 speakers - 4 ohms, 750W 10. 2 trumpets - 16 ohms, 150W 11. 2 trumpets - 16 ohms, 100W 12. 2 mics - 600 ohms 13. 1 mic - 500 ohms 14. 2 mics - 250 ohms Input devices would most probably be the students' cellphones and mp3 players. I have two boxes of assorted jacks, cables and wires. The trumpets by the way are those conical shaped loudspeaker horns. I'm planning to use both amplifiers connected to the mixer. I figure that the smaller amp will carry the trumpets while the larger amp will carry the speakers. I tried connecting mixed pairs in parallel to each speaker connection but the sound skips (goes on and off like a fast hiccup) when the volume is cranked up. I am guessing it can be done with series or a mix of parallel and series connections but I'm afraid I might damage something permanently. Aside from buying new equipment, what can you recommend? Now, if only I can connect all of these to my puny Honda Civic...

I told my boyfriend that I was going out with some friends of mines and he said it was okay since he knows when I go out with my friends it's not that big of a deal we usually go to some type of lounge and have drinks and do karaoke so that same night he decides to go out with some of his friends and I think they had TOO much fun. I mean he came back at four in the morning and was really drunk then I learned they went to some strip club and my friend's boyfriend, who was with them said that he let some trashy stripper dance up on him and obviously liked it! I'm so pissed off about it! I honestly don't see why he thinks it's okay to go out and get drunk with a bunch of douche bag guys who think it's okay to give strippers our hard earned money! He's tried to apologize but I won't accept it. My sister says I'm overreacting but I don't think so. But be honest with me, am I?

Alright, I tried every wording I can think of to get close to a program like this but I its not similar to what I'm looking for at all. I don't know what to do, in comparison to others its is a lot older but it also has a lot more versatility. It is a Karaoke Scoring System from my father laser-disk player. There are dancing birds and bells with a number score. I looked all I could so I want to know is if there anyone out there that can find where I can get that program at all, or if it is possible to get it out of from my laser-disk player which is broken now. i am planning on buying the Disney Sing it high school musical 3 game and was wondering if i could just get the game without the microphone since i already have 2 (1 from rock band and 1 from karaoke revolution). i've read somewhere that the sing it! games are not compatible with other microphones other than the one that comes with the bundle, i was wondering whether it is true.

The song Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles.. When it comes to the verse, the vocals fade out like a karaoke or something but come back again when it's the chorus and i'm so confused by this. I'm playing it on my computer and it's running through a sound system and i've tried everything to try to figure out why it's doing this. It doesn't do it with any other songs i've played =-/ Any idea's?

I don't have a high pitched voice at all. I was in a the qualifying round of a contest and I was so nervous I drank a lot, maybe a little too much, and I picked a song without thinking (Love Game by Lady Gaga). I did really good and the vodka made come out of my shell and ease the nervousness but they said I wasn't loud enough and could have picked a better song but that I had a beautiful voice. I got invited back to try again this Thursday. I don't know what song to do. I may live in Texas but I don't want to do country song or a slow song. I want to keep it fun! I have cdg files i play on my cpu, now while playing them on my cpu how do i get the lyrics to show up on my tv??? My cpu is hooked up to my cavs player but the lyrics only show on my cpu.

My machine quit working but I still have the DVD with 30,000 songs on it. I have lots of cdg karaoke i play on my computer but the MIDI type DVD that came with the karaoke machine will not play right in my pc. it will play the background images but no music and no way to choose the songs. Is there a software program out there that will emulate the karaoke machine to play these?

Well... We are supposed to bring in ideas for it. So... like we have 120 dollars and we want to make more money than we started off with- 120 dollars. This is for middle school kids. How much money do you think they should charge for admissions? We need music ( can be supplied from me) food ( can also be supplied from one of the people) We need something that will make them want to come like... the students there can do karaoke or something. Something that will make them want to go... but inexpensive. How much money should we charge at the door. Please do it as if you were planning the party like a paragraph of what you would do if you wanted it to be awesome from the food to entertainment to decorations. Note: This is not real. My school isn't doing this.

I would like to buy some karaoke songs. I found some on itunes for my ipod. Where and how would the lyrics show up if I just connected the ipod to my computer, or TV?? Do I have to buy software to create the songs on my computer, and also software to burn the discs on to CDR discs? Is that the disc type I would use? Also, there is free software and also software you purchase. What's the difference?

Hi i am currently unemployed and on Jobseekers Allowance (sorry tax payers) im early 30s in the past i have worked in catering retail volunteer for a well known charity which is how i got my retail experience and paid employment but that was some time ago, I have no qualifications except a CLAIT certificate in computers I live at home with a sick mother and hard working father in my spare time i sing in karaoke or use my computer which i tought myself to strip down and rebuild repair and upgrade and install with no help from anyone other times i am out with friends in bars and clubs or at home watching porn so what should i do ?
